Why you’ll love this recipe

Homemade sauces can take your meal from good to amazing, and this delicious creamy sauce will do exactly that! If you love a good spicy mayo, you’ll love this.

This sauce can be used as a dip or dressing too and adds the perfect spicy, creamy, tangy kick to sandwiches, veggies, seafood, tacos, or your favorite stir fry.

In fact, I created this creamy spicy sauce specifically for drizzling on top of my Shrimp Egg Roll in a Bowl (and soon discovered it’s the best thing for so many other recipes too!)

It’s made a little bit lighter than mayo-based sriracha sauces and dips you’ll find because the main ingredients are mayo, sriracha, and Greek yogurt. It adds the perfect amount of tang to this sauce!

Plus, this delicious creamy sriracha sauce uses simple ingredients and only takes a couple of minutes to whip together!

The next time you’re serving burgers, fries, or whipping up a stir-fry, you absolutely need to make a big batch of this sauce.

Here’s what you need.

Ingredients

  1. Greek yogurt: Instead of all mayo, this recipe calls for plain Greek yogurt too. It makes the sauce a little bit lighter, but also adds creaminess and a little bit of tang! If you don’t have Greek yogurt, you could also use some sour cream.
  2. Mayonnaise: You’ll need your favorite mayo for this to add some classic creamy flavor. Kewpie mayo is popular for recipes like this one, but any real mayonnaise will work.
  3. Sriracha Hot Sauce: The Huy Fong Sriracha is my favorite, hands down. It’s so flavorful and is the perfect sriracha for this sauce! You can usually find it in the condiment aisle at most grocery stores or grab it on Amazon.
  4. Garlic: Using super finely minced or microplaned garlic adds a ton fresh garlic flavor to this sauce. The best way is to use a microplane like this one to make things super easy. If you don’t have fresh garlic, you can always use garlic powder.
  5. Lime juice: Fresh lime juice adds the perfect amount of citrus to brighten up the sauce with a zesty kick. You can use lemon juice too.
  6. Honey: Just a little bit of honey balances out the spicy tangy flavors with a little sugar and sweetness!

Step-by-step instructions

  1. Add all of your ingredients to a small bowl and whisk together until fully combined.

Note: Add more or less sriracha based on what kind of spice level you want! If you don’t like things too spicy, I recommend starting with 1 tablespoon an working your way up.
