This easy chicken nugget wrap is one of those quick lunch ideas that feels too good to be true. It’s easy, it’s fun, but it still checks all the nutrition boxes!

One thing about me as a Registered Dietitian is I love chicken nuggets (and chicken tenders too!) for a quick and convenient protein. I always have a bag of frozen chicken nuggets in my freezer, and this is one of my favorite “throw together” meals to make with them.
You can use any store-bought nuggets or make these wraps with my Cheesy Chicken Nuggets, Homemade Ground Chicken Nuggets or Cauliflower Chicken Nuggets for a veggie boost!

Ingredients You Need

- Chicken nuggets: Any cooked chicken nuggets or chicken tenders will work. My Cheesy Chicken Nuggets, Homemade Ground Chicken Nuggets or Cauliflower Chicken Nuggets are my go-to’s but for frozen store-bought, I also like Perdue Lightly Breaded and Just Bare Lightly breaded.
- Tortilla wrap: You can use any soft tortilla wrap, but I recommend a high fiber or whole wheat tortilla. I tend to go for the Mission Carb Balance tortillas, Tumaro Carb Wise tortillas or La Tortilla Factory
- Veggies: Shredded cabbage and lettuce is my favorite base for wraps for nutrition and crunch!
- Shredded cheese cheese: Or whatever cheese you like!
- Creamy dressing: My favorite dressings for this wrap are either ranch or honey mustard. Choose your favorite store-bought or you can even use my Cottage Cheese Ranch Dressing for this.
Variation Ideas
- Buffalo chicken nugget wrap. Drizzle with buffalo sauce plus a drizzle of ranch for a super easy buffalo chicken wrap!
- Grilled chicken nugget wrap. Lightly coat a small pan with oil or butter and toast each side of the wrap on medium heat until golden brown for a toasty version!
- BBQ chicken nugget wrap. Swap the dressing for BBQ sauce. So easy!
- California chicken nugget wrap. Swap the pickles for avocado and make sure to use lettuce and tomato.
- Use rotisserie chicken. Use shredded rotisserie chicken to save time.
How to Make a Chicken Nugget Wrap

- Add veggies and nuggets. Add lettuce, tomato, pickles, and then chicken nuggets on top of the open flour wrap.

- Top with cheese and dressing. Top with shredded cheese and a generous drizzle of creamy dressing.

- Wrap and slice. Fold the sides in, and then fold back over the filling before rolling tightly. Slice in half.

- Enjoy! Serve with your favorite lunch sides like fresh fruits and veggies or chips.
How To Store
This wrap is best enjoyed fresh, but you can prep the ingredients ahead of time to make assembly quick. If you’re packing for a lunch box, wrap tightly in foil or parchment paper and keep chilled. Add the dressing right before eating if possible to prevent sogginess.

For The Best Wrap
- Choose a big wrap. If you want to be able to wrap it up tightly, make sure you choose a large sized flour tortilla. I like the burrito-sized Mission Carb Balance tortillas. Otherwise, you’ll have to eat it taco style (which is okay too!).
- Picking your nuggets. Some chicken nuggets are a bit low in protein, so I like to look for a brand that has close to 15 grams of protein per serving and is “lightly breaded”.
- Wrap tips. Lay the tortilla flat and add your fillings. Then fold in the right and left sides toward the middle. Take the bottom edge and fold it up over the filling, tucking it in. Continue rolling the wrap forward until fully closed, using your fingers to keep tucking the wrap tightly.

Chicken Nugget Wrap (High Protein + Fiber)
Ingredients
- 1 flour tortilla, high fiber or whole wheat like Mission Carb Balance
- 6-8 chicken nuggets, baked (store-bought or homemade), I like Perdue Lightly Breaded or Just Bare Lightly Breaded
- 1-2 romaine lettuce leaves, whole or shredded
- 1/4 cup shredded cabbage or coleslaw mix, thinly shredded
- 1/4-1/3 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4-6 dill pickle slices
- 2 thinly sliced tomatoes, optional
- 1-2 tbsp ranch or honey mustard dressing
Instructions
- Start with your tortilla opened up flat on a plate.
- Layer lettuce leaves, cabbage, tomato and pickles evenly. Next, arrange cooked chicken nuggets and top with cheese, pickles and drizzle with dressing.
- Fold the sides in, and then fold back over the filling before rolling tightly. Slice in half and serve with your favorite lunch sides like fresh fruits and veggies or chips.
