Why you’ll love these
Bite sized cinnamon roll-esque sweet treats made in less than 10 minutes in the air fryer with super simple ingredients- need I say more?! If you’re someone who loves warm cinnamon rolls fresh out of the oven, you’re gonna love this one.
These cinnamon roll bites are perfect for a fun and quick breakfast, a mid-afternoon snack or even an easy dessert.
One of the best things is that they’re homemade and made a little lighter than your standard canned cinnamon rolls. Plus the dough makes this such an easy treat since it only uses two ingredients.
These bites are served with a super easy and high protein Greek yogurt “glaze” dip, too, making these ultra satisfying.
These delicious warm bites are the perfect treat for anyone with a sweet tooth and come together in a matter of minutes. They’re a easy recipe swap for homemade cinnamon rolls. Let’s get into what you need!
Ingredients
Cinnamon roll bites
- Self-rising flour: Self-rising flour basically has the baking powder and salt already added, so it makes your life a little easier!
- Plain Greek yogurt: Greek yogurt is the second ingredient for your two ingredient dough! Use whatever your favorite plain Greek yogurt is. I prefer to use 2% or full-fat.
- Brown sugar: You can swap in regular sugar if you need to, but brown sugar adds a lot more flavor.
- Vanilla and cinnamon: You’ll need just a splash of vanilla extract for this recipe.
- Maple syrup: Feel free to swap in honey if you don’t have maple syrup.
- Butter: Any butter or meltable butter alternative will work.
Vanilla “glaze” dip
I love serving the cinnamon roll bites with a high protein, easy dip. You can use maple syrup instead of powdered sugar, but powdered sugar gives it more of the “glaze” flavor.
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Powdered sugar
- Vanilla
Optional: If you want to drizzle your cinnamon roll bites with a more traditional glaze, just combine powered sugar with just enough milk to create a glaze texture.
You’ll also need an air fryer, of course! My Instant Pot Vortex Air Fryer has been my absolute favorite.
Step-by-step instructions
- Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees f.
- First, make the dough. Add flour and Greek yogurt to a large bowl and mix well, starting with a spoon and then switching to clean hands to knead the dough until ingredients are fully combined on a lightly floured surface.
- Form 12 equal pieces into small balls with your hands and place on a plate.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, maple syrup and vanilla extract.
- Next, brush the cinnamon roll balls with the cinnamon sugar mixture, coating each ball evenly.
- Arrange the dough balls in the air fryer in a single layer, in a silicone air fryer basket, or line with a piece of parchment paper. Air fry for 8-10 minutes until the outside of the bites are golden brown and inside is fluffy. Note: Cooking time will vary if you make smaller or larger balls.
- While the cinnamon roll bites are in the air fryer, make your Greek yogurt glaze dip in a small mixing bowl. Combine Greek yogurt, powdered sugar and vanilla in a small bowl and serve for dipping.
Optional: if you prefer, combine powdered sugar and milk to create a more traditional glaze to drizzle on the bites.
Serve leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.

Unfortunately, I don’t have an air fryer – could these be baked in the oven?
Thanks!
Yes definitely! They’ll likely take a few extra minutes but will definitely bake the same and be delicious!
Thank you so much! I’m looking forward to these!
Delishes mmmmm
I make a lot of my dishes with Greek yogurt, and desserts , always have self rising flour an greek yogurt in the fridge
If I am dairy free what could I replace the greek yogurt with? I have some almond yogurt?
I haven’t tried with dairy-free yogurt but you could try! I would use a thick “greek style” dairy-free yogurt.
Not to be too diet-y but is the nutritional info for just the bites or is the dip included? Looks so delish regardless!
The nutrition info includes the dip! It doesn’t include the optional glaze ๐
Is it possible to use all purpose unbleached flour? I assume baking powder would have to be added?
Yes, you just need to add some baking powder and salt!
Could this dough be made ahead of time and refrigerated for the next morning?
I don’t see why not!
