Confession: I love a viral recipe. Usually, there’s a reason they’re viral! This one started in Japan, and now you really can’t open Instagram or Tiktok without seeing it! I’m a long-time lover of adding cookies to Greek yogurt, so I just knew I’d love this one. And spoiler: it is so good.

Why You’ll Love This

  • Only 2 ingredients. So simple, it couldn’t get easier!
  • High protein. The base is Greek yogurt, so it’s high protein regardless of which cookies you choose to add.
  • No bake. There’s nothing like a dessert that feels ultra indulgent but is so easy. It only takes 5 minutes to prep.
  • Easy to customize. With simple ingredients like Greek yogurt and cookies, you can really create ANY flavor combination that you want!
  • Family friendly. This one’s a hit for all ages, especially since you can customize everyone’s yogurt cup with the cookies they love best.

Ingredients

  1. Greek yogurt: You can use plain Greek yogurt or flavored Greek yogurt. Either one will work! If you’re not a big fan of plain Greek yogurt, I recommend grabbing vanilla instead. If you still want to keep it low sugar, just grab a sugar free Greek yogurt! Make sure to use Greek yogurt, not regular plain yogurt, for the best cheesecake-like texture.
  2. Cookies: The classic version of this calls for Biscoff cookies, but you can also use Oreos, Oreo thins, graham crackers, vanilla wafer cookies,

Variation ideas

  • Golden Oreo yogurt cheesecake: Use Golden Oreos or Oreo Thins.
  • Birthday cake yogurt cheesecake: Use birthday cake sandwich cookies and add a pinch of colorful sprinkles.
  • Vanilla wafer yogurt cheesecake: Use Nilla wafers.
  • Cinnamon roll yogurt cheesecake: Use Biscoff cookies + a sprinkle of cinnamon.
  • Lemon cheesecake: Use lemon flavored Greek yogurt and graham crackers or Biscoff cookies.
  • Strawberry yogurt cheesecake: Use graham crackers and top with fresh sliced strawberries (or any other fresh fruit!).
  • Try cottage cheese instead: Blend cottage cheese and use it instead!

How to Make 2-Ingredient Yogurt Cheesecake

2 ingredient viral yogurt cheesecake in a bowl.
  1. Add yogurt + cookies to a container. Press cookies directly into the container of Greek yogurt, or transfer yogurt to a small container with a lid. Make sure cookies are pressed all the way into the container.

  1. Refrigerate. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours to allow the cookies to soften. Overnight is best!

My Pro Tip

Recipe Tip

  • Let it refrigerate. Don’t get me wrong, cookies in yogurt is always delicious, but make sure you give it enough time in the fridge. The longer it sits, the softer and more cake-like the cookies get.
  • Choose yogurt you like. If you don’t mind plain Greek yogurt, go for it. But if you can’t do it (valid!), make sure you choose a flavored Greek yogurt, like vanilla. Choose sugar-free if you want to keep it low sugar.
  • Distribute your cookies evenly. Make sure you have enough cookies in your yogurt cup so that you get a delicious cookie yogurt bite every time!
