This Ninja Creami cake batter ice cream tastes like birthday cake, funfetti, and cake batter all mixed into one creamy homemade dessert. It's a fun high-protein treat to keep in the freezer all summer long.
1 1/2scoopsvanilla protein powder(Clean Simple Eats is my favorite)
2tablespoonsvanilla instant puddingsugar-free or regular
1 1/2cupsmilk(I use 2%)
1/4teaspoonbutter extract
1/16 teaspoonalmond extract
1-2tablespoonsrainbow sprinkles
Optional: 1-2 tablespoons whipped vanilla frosting or golden oreos added as mix-ins
Instructions
Mix the protein powder, pudding mix, milk, butter extract, and almond extract in the Ninja Creami pint container using a small whisk or spoon until completely combined.
Freeze for 24 hours on a level surface.
Place the pint container in the Ninja Creami outer bowl and secure the lid with the blade, then install onto the machine. Run lite ice cream mode 1x, then check the consistency. If crumbly, re-spin mode 1x.
Create a small hole in the center of the ice cream. Add sprinkles, frosting, and golden oreos if using before pressing the mix-in button.
Scoop and enjoy!
Notes
Freeze the pint completely level. This ensures the smoothest texture.
Re-spin if crumbly. If the ice cream looks crumbly after the first spin, simply run the re-spin cycle once. Add a small splash of milk if needed for a creamier texture.
Don't skip the extracts. They give the ice cream the birthday cake flavor.
Add mix-ins after spinning. This keeps the texture creamy.
Nutritional information will vary depending on optional mix-ins used.
