This maple balsamic dressing is sweet, tangy, and savory with maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, Dijon, and fresh garlic. It comes together in just 5 minutes, and you can easily adjust the sweetness to taste.
Add all ingredients to a medium bowl and whisk until completely combined and emulsified. For a creamier dressing, you can also blend in a blender or food processor or shake up in a small mason jar.
Notes
Adjust the sweetness to taste. Start with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup for a tangier dressing, then add more as needed. I usually prefer 3 tablespoons.
Vinegar substitutions: Apple cider vinegar, red wine vinegar, or white wine vinegar can work in place of balsamic, but the dressing will have a lighter, less sweet flavor.
Maple syrup substitute: Honey also works, but it will give the dressing a slightly more floral flavor and thicker texture.
If the dressing thickens in the refrigerator, let it sit at room temperature for about 10 minutes, then shake or whisk well before serving.
